Prep basketball: Toledo Notre Dame defeats Findlay girls
TOLEDO -- The Findlay High girls basketball team more than held its own early on in Monday's Three Rivers Athletic Conference game against Toledo Notre Dame.

Findlay held a 13-11 advantage after one quarter. Then, the turnovers came into play.

Notre Dame, a Division I state semifinalist last season, turned those miscues into transition baskets to outscore the Trojans 31-13 in the middle two quarters en route to a 54-40 win over Findlay.

Christina McQueen led Findlay (3-1 overall, 2-1 TRAC) with 12 points and Taylor Stanfield had 11. Nicole Muehl added nine points.

Tierra Floyd led Notre Dame (5-2, 3-0) with 18 points. Kaayla McIntyre had 13 points and a game-high seven rebounds.

Stanfield grabbed a team-high six rebounds for Findlay, with McQueen adding five boards.

Findlay returns to the court Thursday in a TRAC game at Fremont Ross.
