Longberry set for ONU induction
ADA -- Brad Longberry of Findlay will be one of six people inducted into the Ohio Northern University's Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, as part of ONU's homecoming weekend.

The induction banquet will be held in ONU's McIntosh Center and introduced Saturday before the ONU football game at Dial-Roberson Stadium.

The other five inductees include Brandi Nicole (Stover) Bruns, a 2002 education graduate and volleyball athlete from Rockford; Beth Ann (Breudigam) Gribler, a '85 management/marketing graduate and basketball and volleyball athlete from Powell; Nancy Jean (Shoemaker) Keith, a '89 education graduate and softball athlete from Vienna; Robert Garner Lydic, a '97 biology graduate and track star from Powell, Mich.; and John Martin Wechter, a '78 pharmacy graduate and track standout from Shelby.

Longberry ('78 graduate) started all 104 games during his cage career. He was a two-time first-team all-Ohio Athletic Conference selection and the team MVP. Longberry ranks second in ONU history with 1,036 career rebounds, No. 11 in career points (1,391). Longberry led the team in rebounding for three seasons, grabbing 331 in 1977. Longberry is currently president of Flag City Water Systems.
