Soccer: Notre Dame blanks UF men
LYNDHURST -- The University of Findlay men's soccer team lost its third consecutive game on Friday, falling 4-0 to Notre Dame College in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tilt.

Jacob Sheppard, Ryan Ware and Eric Beattie scored goals for the Falcons. Their fourth goal was an own goal by the Oilers.

UF (4-6, 2-6 GLIAC) managed only eight shots. NDC (8-2, 6-2) took 20 shots and UF goalies Matthew Brooks and Alex Jurek tallied two saves apiece.

The Oilers will host Lake Erie (2-9, 1-7) at noon on Sunday.

UF women fall, 2-1

PAINESVILLE -- The University of Findlay women's soccer team scored first, but Lake Erie College answered with two goals and the Storm defeated the Oilers 2-1 Thursday in GLIAC action.

Eryn Weber scored for Findlay (2-6-1, 2-3-1 GLIAC) off of an assist by Megan Galloway. The Oilers outshot Lake Erie 17-9.

Findlay returns to action at 2 p.m. Sunday at Notre Dame.
