Prep boys soccer: Upper Sandusky cruises past Ontario, 7-1
UPPER SANDUSKY -- Shin Nagahama and Taylor Emerick each scored twice and Upper Sandusky pounded Ontario 7-1 Saturday in a nonconference boys soccer action.

Alec McMillan, Austin Pirc and Brandon Miller also scored for the Rams, who improved to 11-4 on the season.

Luke Miller dished off two assists, while Miller, Emerick and Sam Duress also set up goals.

William Amert (five saves) and Clay Musgrave (two) shared time in the goal for Upper Sandusky, which outshot Ontario (0-9-1) 17-10.




RAWSON -- Cory-Rawson scored first and held off a barrage of Continental scoring opportunities, but eventually the Pirates came through with a 2-1 nonconference boys soccer victory Saturday.

The Hornets (4-8-2) got on the board just ten minutes into the game on Brandon Strait's goal.

Continental (8-5-1), which peppered the C-R net with 30 total shots, came right back when Dallas Geckle tied the game off of an assist from Zach Swarzman just seven minutes later.

The game remained tied until midway through the second half when Caleb Baker scored the game-winning goal.

Cory-Rawson goalie Ryan Egts kept the Hornets in the game with 14 saves on 16 Continental shots on goal.

Austin Mansfield made one save for the Pirates.



LIMA -- Bluffton's Nathan Bunch scored the only goal of the second half on Saturday, but it was the difference in the match as the Pirates edged Lima Shawnee 2-1 in a nonleague boys soccer battle.

Lima Shawnee's Andrew Ritchie and Bluffton's Andrew Demellweek traded fist-half goals. Shawnee (11-3-0) outshot Bluffton (10-2-2) 7-4, but goalie Kory Enneking's five saves earned the Pirates the win.

OTTOVILLE -- Dylan Klima scored twice and Ottoville defeated Ada 5-1 Saturday in nonconference boys soccer action.

Anthony Eickholt, Logan Gable and Drew Williams also scored for the Big Green (10-3-1).

Caleb Garmon notched the lone goal for Ada (2-10-2).
