GOODRICH, Mich. -- David Farmer's 25-yard touchdown run on the Genesee County Warriors' first play from scrimmage set the tone.
Michael Walker did much of the rest, and the Warriors ran away with a 37-15 victory over St. Wendelin in a Christian Athletic League of America contest at Goodrich High.
Walker finished with 188 yards on 11 carries with three touchdowns as the Warriors upped their record to 3-3, all in league play, and the Mohawks slipped to 0-4 overall (0-3 CALA).
St. Wendelin trailed 16-7 at halftime before the contest got away in the last two quarters.
"I thought we played a really good first half, but we came out in the second half and made some mistakes that cost us," Mohawks coach Jim Bodart said.
St. Wendelin quarterback Austin Reinhart was 12 of 18 for 138 yards. He hit Brad Buhrow with a 1-yard scoring pass in the second quarter and connected with Buhrow for a 19-yard score late in the fourth quarter.
