Locally: FHS girls soccer romps
Heather Beers and April Misamore scored two goals each on Wednesday as Findlay High's girls soccer team wrapped up regular-season play with an 11-0 Three Rivers Athletic Conference romp over Fremont Ross at Elmer Graham Stadium.

Breanne Brigadoi had a goal and two assists. Samantha Zoll, Jenny Niemeyer and Lara Munoz had a goal and one assist each as Findlay peppered the Fremont Ross goal with 21 total shots.

Nikki Huber, Regan Campbell and Paige Sensel also found the back of the net. Tori Sullivan, Sierra Perry and Jenna Marie Hohman added assists for Findlay (9-3-4, 5-1-1 TRAC).

Olivia Bair got the shutout in goal. Niemeyer had four intercepts and Alexis Gray two to lead the Trojans on defense.

Findlay is off until next Thursday when the Trojans face either Toledo Central Catholic or Sylvania Northview in the second round of the Division I sectional tournament at Sylvania Northview.



ADA -- Jordyn Wright scored three goals, including the first one 29 seconds into the match, and Lindsey Cole had two tallies as Riverdale rolled to an 8-1 North Central Ohio Soccer Association victory over Ada.

Riverdale, now 9-3-3, built a 6-0 halftime lead and held a 14-5 shots advantage. Aubreah Manns, Megan Dunbar and Kelsey Bailey also scored for the Falcons with Tiffany Wright, Cole and Jordyn Wright recording assists.

Riverdale's Bre Parish had two saves and teammates Marissa Livingston and Kristen Evans one each.

P-G finishes strong

MCGUFFEY -- The Pandora-Gilboa volleyball team has been nearly unbeatable outside of the Blanchard Valley and Putnam County Conferences.

The Rockets improved to 6-1 outside of conference play Wednesday night with a come-from-behind 15-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-22, 15-11 victory over Upper Scioto Valley.

Megan Maag had a double-double for P-G (15-6) with 18 kills and 16 digs. Hunter Hermiller added 11 kills. Mackenzie Swary had 16 digs and Vivian Nofziger 34 assists.

RIDGEWAY -- Nicole Hulihan was strong at the net Wednesday and Cory-Rawson swept Ridgemont 25-10, 25-18, 25-11 in nonconference volleyball action.

Hulihan hammered 12 kills and added four blocks for the Hornets (13-8). Jessie Ream added 10 kills and two aces.

Kendra Tuttle (70-70 setting, 15-15 serving) had 25 assists and a team high three aces. Adrienne Erford led C-R with six digs and Jordan Hector had five blocks.

HAMLER -- Lindsey Meyer served five aces, Heather Gibson had 27 assists and Kelsey Tietje pounded 19 kills Wednesday as Patrick Henry swept past Montpelier 25-12, 25-13, 25-14 in Northwest Ohio Athletic League play.

Mallory Michaelis and Samantha Niese each had two aces.
