Boys basketball: Upper Sandusky pulls away in second half
ATTICA -- Upper Sandusky used a 17-6 advantage in the third quarter to pull away from Seneca East and defeat the Tigers 56-38 in a boys nonconference game Saturday night.

Upper Sandusky (9-8) took advantage of a balanced scoring effort. Joe Reile led the way with 15 points. Trent Howard and Stuart Young each scored 10 points and six other players made baskets. Young added five assists and four steals.

Ben Hahler did most of the damage for Seneca East (9-7) with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

FOSTORIA -- Fremont Ross exploded on a 26-4 first-quarter run Saturday night and the Little Giants raced away from Fostoria 88-34 in a nonconference boys basketball game.

Tyler Wolf's 17 point, four-steal performance led the Little Giants (10-6).

Alex Metcalf added 15 points with four steals for Ross, while Grant McConnell contributed 12 points and Jarvis Jones scored 11 points and pulled down six rebounds.

Dom Fuller led Fostoria (2-14) with 18 points while canning four 3-pointers. Rayshon Martin had seven rebounds for Fostoria, while Fuller had five.

ADA -- Kenton was able to hold on for a 68-66 win despite Ada's fourth-quarter surge in a nonconference boys basketball game Saturday night.

The Wildcats (11-6) enjoyed a 49-33 lead when the Bulldogs' (5-11) 33-point rally in the final quarter fell short.

Matt Bahr's 16 points, including three 3-pointers, led the Wildcats.

Grant Sherman added 13 points.

Gabe Sutton scored a game-high 19 points for the Bulldogs.

Mason Acheson contributed 14 points.
