College wrestling: Notre Dame defeats Roughnecks
The University of Findlay wresting team picked up wins in just three matches Saturday night as the Roughnecks dropped a 24-9 decision to Notre Dame College at Croy Gymnasium.

Findlay junior Ben Sergent, ranked sixth nationally in the 125-pound weight class, came away with a 2-0 win over Johnny Papesh in the opening match.

Findlay's other victories came from senior Jan Ulinski at 149 pounds, who edged James Jenkins 4-3, and second-ranked Adam Walters, a junior, who scored a 7-2 win over Charles Mason at 184 pounds.

Findlay, the No. 7 team in the latest Division II coaches poll, dropped both matches which featured nationally-ranked wrestlers going head-to-head.

Findlay senior Mason True, ranked eighth, dropped a 5-3 decision to No. 3 Eric Burgey at 174 and senior Andrew Tumlin, ranked seventh, lost 6-4 to No. 5 Orlando Scales in the heavyweight class.

The Roughnecks will be back at home for the final time this season on Friday night when they host West Liberty State at Croy Gymnasium.
