Girls Basketball: No. 1 Big Green rolling along
OTTOVILLE -- It was all Ottoville in Thursday night's Putnam County League girls basketball showdown.

The Big Green, the state's No. 1-ranked Associated Press Division IV team, blitzed Continental 39-14 in the middle two quarters on its way to a 69-37 win over the Pirates.

Abby Siefker poured in 19 points, Rachel Beining 18 points and Rachel Turnwald 13 as the Big Green (13-0, 4-0 PCL) won its 36th straight regular-season game.

Continental (9-3, 2-1) got 15 points from Paige Ordway.

FORT JENNINGS -- Ashley Gable scored 12 points to power Fort Jennings to a 45-40 Putnam County League girls basketball win over Miller City on Thursday night.

Gable added three steals, Macy Schroeder tossed in nine points, and Gabbi German scored five points with four rebounds and three assists for Fort Jennings (6-7, 1-2 PCL).

Brandi Gerschutz and Haley Lammers both scored 10 points and Melissa Michel had six rebounds for Miller City (2-11, 0-5).
