KALIDA -- It was all Liberty-Benton Tuesday as the Eagles wrapped up their season with an 11-0 nonconference baseball win over Kalida.
The Eagles, the No. 9 team in the final Division III state coaches poll, finished 22-4. The 22 victories is a school record.
Jared Neiling got the win as he shut out Kalida on four hits over five innings.
Brandon Samuels doubled and singled with an RBI, Jordan Harpst had a double and a single with two RBIs, Kenny Phi hit three singles and had an RBI and Austin Ingleston doubled and singled driving in two runs for the Eagles.
Brent Hovest had a pair of singles for Kalida (7-15), which plays in today's Division IV district semifinals at Elida against Delphos St. John's.

BLOOMDALE -- Otsego got an outstanding pitching effort from Ryan Smoyer and Hunter Donald blasted a two-run home run in the third as the Knights finished off a perfect Northern Buckeye Conference slate with a 3-1 baseball win over Elmwood.
Hackworth also had a solid night for Otsego (14-0 NBC) with a double, two singles and an RBI, while Collin Austin added a double and a single.
Zack Irick put Elmwood (12-14, 6-8 NBC) ahead 1-0 with an RBI double in the first. He also contributed a single.

MILLER CITY 6
TOLEDO -- Miller City needed three runs in the top of the sixth inning to rally past Pandora-Gilboa 6-3 in a nonconference game played at Fifth Third Field on Tuesday.
Adam Drummelsmith got the win as he went the final three innings in relief of Ross Kaufman.
Jared Fuka had a pair of singles and drove in four runs for Miller City (16-7). Basinger tripled with a pair of singles for P-G.
