Girls Tennis: Findlay's Bosse & Miller are champions
ASHLAND -- Erin Bosse and Emma Miller, Findlay's No. 1 doubles team, won a championship Saturday to help the Trojans finish second at the Ashland Invitational.

Findlay was runnerup to champion Ashland.

The Trojans also had a runnerup in No. 2 singles player Corinne Hoffman.

Fett captures title

FOSTORIA -- Bluffton's Maggie Fett won the singles championship at Saturday's Fostoria Invitational.

Fett whipped Fostoria's Jillian Smith 6-0, 6-0 in the opening round before stopping Oregon Clay's Haley Orr in the semifinals 7-5, 6-2. She topped Tiffin Calvert's Madison Daniel in the final 6-0, 7-5.

Ottawa-Glandorf's Amy Schmiedebusch and Tiffany Kahle defeated Bluffton's Sara Bertka and Brielle Hamilton 8-2 for third place in the first doubles flight.

Bluffton's Dynasty Martin and Justine Mitchell downed Fostoria's Ellen Guan and Destinie Farris 8-2 for third at third doubles.

O-G's Alyssa Schnipke and Alexis Haselman were fourth in second doubles action.

Oregon Clay won the tournament with 36 points. Bluffton (22) was third, Ottawa-Glandorf (13) fifth and Fostoria (7) sixth.
